No!!! is my 2gb mem stick doomed !!!

heya Acidmodders, heres the deal i got a 2gb sony memory stick pro duo, it worked fine until i tryed loading windows 95 onto it, i was copying the VM folder to my mem stick when the power shut down. Now everytime you try load up the psp with the mem stick in, it won't boot up and when you boot it up and try insert the 2gb mem stick it says nothing is inserted and you cannot format it (and the mem stick light keeps flashing at a constant rate) . Is it bricked or is there any way to fix this . Btw i tryed my other 1gb mem stick and it worked fine . Any help appreciated.

i have a pandora's but the firmware is fine, i am on 3.90m33-2. Its the mem stick. Btw i cannot delete the file due to me not being able to access the bricked mem stick any more

Can you format it with the computer?

pandora files cannot be read by computers so just plug it into computer try to open veiw files then it should pop up then say do you want to format it blah blah then yeh

whatever you do do not format it with a computer the way you would format usb stick for example, i done this with my 32mb and corrputed all the files so now it is not read by either psp or he computer itself, if you do make sure you format it to the right file type, not sure which one it is though

what you need is a mem card reader and a mem stick pro formatter
I have the file for it on my computer
but I'm grounded from it and I only have my ipod now

I have had this problem several times. I popped the memory stick into my brother's PSP and formatted it in there.
I suggest you Pandora down to a lower firmware, and then try to format the memory stick.

my memory stick does this exact thing. but not all the time. well the cause for me is a broken reader
