Rapid Fire Pic help
« on: May 14, 2008, 04:17:08 PM »
Can someone let me know the exact 8pin pic used in this tutorial/kit : http://consolecustoms.net/auction/tutorials/360_dual_rapid_tutorial_new_8pin.pdf
Also if someone has the hex file for rapid fire can you please post it or send it to me.

Thanks

is there anyway to connect the 555timer to the triggers without a pic programmer?

do you even have to program these?     from what im looking up it looks like on the pins there are triggers(input) and pulses(output) which to me seems like rapid fire.

But hey what do i know....Is this true , do they already come they way that you need them?

I am pretty sure it isn't a regular 555 timer because in the tut it says it is a pic microcontroller and the timer by itself isn't working for me... :dntknw:

EDIT: the only tut I found after about an hour of looking is THis ONe but you need alot more parts and you sacrifice the rumble feature...  :beg:

Nope no programming required it is a simple time pulsing trust me. we designed the first one with actual software. That being said if all you wanted is rapid fire on the trigger we could write a program for a 8 pin chip.

wait im confused?    so your saying that you dont need to program them becuase they give off a pulse, but your saying if i want a rapid controller you could program another 8pin pic?

like whats the differnce....if you dont need to program the 555 timer why would you buy another microcontroller that does need to be programmed

:whoosh: so (cyberpyrot) you'll write a program for an already programmed chip???

EDIT: sorry i'm a noob, i learned everything i know about electronics on the internet...

The 555 timer is a pre programmed chip which cannot be altered. People use this to do the trigger rapid fire with the help of a NPN transistor creating like a switch that opens and closes with each pulse of the 555 timer. I have created a more advanced macro controller with software I wrote with a pic programmer. The diffreence with a 555 time and a chip you program your self is with the chip you program you can ajust the speed of fire eg ( 30 Ns ) rate of fire ( 3 round burst )...

Cyberpyrot or Bigmike do you have the hex file for the 12f683 to have a rapid fire through the trigger?

The code would have to change from TRIS to GPIO I need a chip to test... I think nico has a 12fXXX series chip..

I have two that I'm testing with atm PIC16F628A and 12f675(8 pin) the code for the PIC16F628A is the same for the 16F684A but the 12F is a full re-write. Also to note that the PIC16F628A has an internal OCL so no Crystal needed, That will free up two more pins

if you have a PIC16F84A there are 2 hex code to download

X801769-026     COD4-Basic-All-Models

Once you download the HEX file for the right controller need to write the Hex code to the
Pic in order to do that need a programmer which you can buy here

http://www.imagesco.com/microcontroller/pic-programmers.html

Now you ready to play ..

if you don't have a programmer we sell preflash Pic on our wesite you can order that here :

http://wiredinput.com/ShopUSA/product_info.php?cPath=30&products_id=32

Now if you don't have PIC16F84A that means you did not read the Tutorials
as its stated that the hex files above will only work with PIC16F84A.
