I don't think he's going to add any components that will speed up the PSP (The idea by its self is impossible anyway). Its more simpler but hard to do at the same time. I'm not sure about the slide screen though and I'm not really sure how safe it would be with the PSP's Sharp LCD's fragile ribbon cable. I want to work my way up to a R&D so that I can be a part of the higher class of PSP modders. Hopefully my new mod will help me get 1 step closer to that goal but all I can do now is just sit back and process as much information as I can.

Rough estimate, I would have to say a month or two, if all goes well, that is... The fact is I work 4 10 hour days, 1600 to 0200 each week, and can only work on this when I get a chance, mainly on the weekends. But I will get it done, no doubt about that...

I'm a Printing Press Jogger... I take the printed sheets, after they come out of the folder, and "jog" them (Make sure they are in stacked nice and neat) then I brick them on pallets to be sent to the bindery. It's not a tough job, just the fact that while we are printing I am on my feet constantly... Needless to say I really like it when we are printing a short run. I usually get home in a stupor, and a ringing in my ears from the press going all night...

I am new to this modding stuff but as far as my guess goes, and it may be completely wrong, but to me it looks as if the screen pulls out and can be set on a table top and propped up, allowing whoever is playing to lean back and relax or whatever, while using the atual PSP housing as a controller so to speak. IF that it was it is then nice job, it will be nice to see the finished product. If NOT then still, can't wait to see it.

EDIT: I GOT IT!! THE SS is for SCREEN SCREEN. lol 1500 is Like 500+500 is 1000 and 1000 + 1000 is 2000 so one screen from Phat and one screen from slim in a slim case lol. NAh thats just to crazy to happen.

well i know exactly what it is but my lips r sealed i aint talking 2 noone i know i got it right because i pmed him what i thought it was and he pretty much said i got it right yay 4 me but like i said my lips r sealed because i promised him i would not say anything the only i will say is that this is an awesome idea and i cant wait till its done people who dont know what it is will absolutely be impressed and love it

it must be some sort of sliding screen ( SS ). but how would he make the ribbon cables on the lcd fit?? and yh having the umd under the screen so u have to slide the screen to insert a umd sounds kinda cool

please people who dont know what it is dont pm me and ask me what it is i have been entrusted with a secret and i will not tell i dont tell secrets and plus i promised so dont ask u wont get any answer as 2 what it is except that it is awsome and u will like it just wait and u will find out what it is but heres a hint PSP-1500SS changing the way u look at the psp think about it(dont think 2 hard though your brain may explode)

Well, for now, a part of the project will be on hold until a certain Sony product is released, like the recent news states it will be (again, hopefully for real this time...) That should give you a clue to what that part of the project is... As to the rest of it, I will move forward, but since the one part of the project fits inside the other i will have to be careful not to under-engineer it...

I wonder if it is gonna be like that one phone where the screen slides up to reveal a keyboard. That might be it, seeing as $ony is supposed to be releasing a keyboard soon, and it might fit inside the psp depending on its dimensions.
Personally, I'd like a clamshell with this keyboard better than a sliding screen so that the screen is protected while inside of a pocket.
This is just my guess.

isnt there room between the screen and the screen cage to cut holes in the cage to put the ribbon cable in ,then hook them up to a connector on the side of the screen to make contact when it is slid up?lol jk wanted to keep up with the added ram guys on the impossible idea area,lol

New sony product? i heard they are coming out with a keyboard for psp, i guess sliding sceen with keyboard where the screen was. I had a thought of trying that one time, but no thanks, too hard for me to invent. I just MIGHT be able to do it is it has a tutorial.

shoot man i was doing this mod adding a slide screen with a keyboard under it. man i should of done what you did to get dibs.
i was talking to j.s2ghetto about this not long ago on more of my ideas on this. darn i need money i lose all my ideas due to lack of funds.

lol if sony let us design a psp it would be great but till then we can only mod..... he is talking bout the keyboard "i think" sony is supposed to be releaseing one soon.....i doubt it. i say go with a flashed chat pad light up buttons verry comfortable best psp keyboard i think
