problem with joy stick

i thought this was posted already but coudn't find it on a search. I changed my face plate and now I have a ghost moving my joystick down and right even when I romove the face plate. any body have a solution?

clean the contacts and check if there is anything wrong with the analog as well

it does it even when the stick isn't conected. I also removed the small clear rubber thing that makes the connection from the jstick and still did it

ehm well the only real remidy would be to solder the contacts. i have a dx clear case and it always did it, you should make sure the screws are in all the way and tight as possible and the try, i pushed rly hard down wen i put my screws in and it work now :D

when I had it tight it would move up and left ok but down and right really slow. what contacts are you refering to soldering?

I had the same problem. I solved mine by just screwing the thing on tight as hell, and it fixed it. Maybe try that before you go at it with a soldering iron.

the 4 golden/brass looking contact on the mobo

well try to screw the nub on the fp too, then screw the fp rly hard on the psp. but yea solder the 4 golden thingys to the nub on the fp(you got to remove the lcd cage first. and then it will be common sence on which contacts u solder, just line em up :victory:

thanks for the help. I used one of the screws from the lcd bracket because it was a little shorter and allowed me to tighten it down enough to work properly. thanks again.



p.s. was a dx faceplate $6 shipped so i got what i paid for but still a deal

Thanks guys glad I checked here first I was having the same problem with my slim because I had a phat case on it lol but just got my new clear psp shell from coolmods the new slim one yeah worked perfect....
