homebrew on 3.90 m33-3

i have been un successful in almost all my homebrew endeavors i cant seem to get any homebrew program or game to run its mostly the ones that have the two files that are labeled the same except one has the $ in the beggining and end is there something im doing wrong i have tried moving them around the different game folders like game/game150/game380 but most start then close with the 80020148 code. is there something im missing like do i need to run a popsloader or a fast loader or something i dont really know what is wrong any help is appreciated

 Don't quote me on this but this should be a nudge in the right direction

 Homebrew programs with  filename & %filename are FW 1.5 Programs.. I would try time machine first.. if not see if you can get FW 1.5 addon for 3.90 m33-3 and see if that works. I'm pretty sure it will.
