Any remedy's, I'm finding it hard to live with the pain

Have better teeth? XD I don't know. My braces never hurt. Chew gum. I did that and it made my mouth feel better when I had braces, hahahah. Seriously though, I did.

Try that stuff that numbs your mouth.

Wouldnt gum get stuck?

I've never had braces so I dont know :\. Maybe split apart a paracetamol capsule and rub the powder on your top gum at the front. Itll feel funny btu get in your system quicker =3

I've taken 5 paracetamol capsules already, They did nothing at all. I'm finding it very hard to type too

I used to chew gum after tightening

My dentist said i could if it hurt u dont really chew it u put it between your jaw and kinda bite it slowly it helped me every time

But ya braces always hurt the first 3 days really and then when they tighten them OMG does it hurt sometimes.

Its only one of the bottom teeth that hurts. On futher inspection it looks like it is poking through the gum. I'm guessing this is causing the pain, I took some strong pain killers before so it should be better

I feel for you, I remember when I first got mine put on, I couldn't eat basically anything. Ive had them off for about a year now though. Remeber to wear your retainers though! I only wore mine for about 9 months and couldn't be bothered with them so stopped wearing them. Went to othordontist on Friday and was told that I should get some more retainers which cost £60 each! still dont know if I can be bothered to get them but then my teeth we go back again

Well, Those "Strong" painkillers didn't do a thing, so I'm going to live with the pain and the tooth sticking out. Too late to do anything now

try having braces tightened, then having a chain put on a tooth that hasn't come down painfully tugging on it
while recovering from having your wisdom teeth removed!

you literally cannot eat solids..i survived on pudding cups for 3 days T_T

i agree with fufa, just deal with it, its not gonna last forever, ive fortunately never had braces, but i did snap my finger in half and then walk home. kinda similar...just give it time and distract yourself from it, that way you wont be thinking about it and the pain should soften

damn you just got your braces? i got mines last december. the first few days hurt like hell. just live with it. NO PAIN NO GAIN! lol. well after i had my braces they foud out somin was wrong with my mouth so i had to go get my 2 wisdom teeth out and then they laser cut somin out of the bottom of my touge. try to live iwth that. i was bleeding non sstop. i was crying to tell you the truth lol

Ahh, The tooth was sticking out the gum. I had to go to the dentist today and get it pulled out, turns out it cracked from the pressure of the braces and the bottom came out of the gum. Hurts a bit but is fine now. It seems the cracked tooth was the problem

i recommend gettin drunk,although u probably shudnt listen to my advice about things like this being irish and all,i'll take any excuse to knock back a Smirnoff or two...or seven...or 12 if it hurts really bad,lol just kidding (although i do like Smirnoff...alot),when i got my braces (which i fortunately had removed like the guy on the left

) the way i deal with it was i constantly ate ice lollies (i think u guys call em freeze pops),i bought packs upon packs of the ones u freeze at home,and when it hurt i pressed the freeze pop against the epicenter of the pain until that part of my mouth went numb and feelingless,it hurt but it was tasty!!

lol, The pain is easy to handle. I've had 11 teeth out before and can cope with it just the cracked tooth was very painful

No, I couldn't drink milk till I was 5 because of allergies which resulted in my teeth not forming right. Those 11 teeth's core did not form

i had self tightening braces, so all they would need is the wire cut every week or 2, my cure for the pain was a nice tall glass of vanilla milkshake (or w/e flavor ice cream i had in the freezer)

i like that cure, but that sucks on the cracked tooth, hopefully it doesnt happen again. be sure to bruch XD

I was telling him earlier on MSN how I used to have the wires rip through my cheeks from roughhousing and getting into fights. Needless to say it literally doubled the amount of time I need braces for.
