Lol yea its a nice idea. But its already been done. I saw my friend using it. You have your solar powered charger and you plug it in to the usb port. It was made for phones originally I think, but any product with a mini usb port effectively could use it. Its an official product too. I assume it would be easy to make built in as well. but idk.  :dntknw:

Ther are vids on youtube for this. Just type in "solar USB charger" without the quotes. Good idea though. I wanted to make one but I don't have the money to go buy solar lamps if I'm just gonna ruin em anyway. LOL

technically you are not ruining them... but improving them lol :P. Btw they were cheap I got them, 10 of them for $14 bucks US (and that would make 2 panels, or 1 with another wired in paralell to half the time it takes to charge the battery pack.

If you want to be way on the edge of leading bleeding edge.

Here is a tutorial on how to MAKE your own solar cells you can do at home.

that's cool but it says in the article that it won't be good for charging batteries or running lights. You would need an awful lot ofthese to charge a psp.  It would probably be easier and cheaper to buy solar garden lamps. You could also buy just solar pannels too.

There are cheap places on the net to buy small cells and then you can series and parallel them together to get the voltage and current you need.

Here is a source for solar cells and panels:
