Ive put leds in many pointless things. one of them was my TI-84 graphing calculator. but how about putting LED's under my shoes? it could be neon for your kicks! lol

. I LOVE THIS IDEA! I've got an old pair of skate shoes that don't fit me anymore, I'll go put a battery and some leds in it! LOL.

If you want to take it even further, you could add persistence of vision text display to your shoes.

i would do the text display but looks like to much work. But the LED underglows will do for sure. i keep on thinking to myself that its a stupid idea.

Blue LED underglows, maybe the pov message thing, and lighted laces...

i just have to figure out how to put the battery back in. wiring shouldnt be a problem but im doing it when new shoes. they are like air force ones but the company is called british knights.

I'm using an iPod battery, and putting a little connector in because I have a universal wall charger I MADE and universal USB charger I MADE using little connectors. This was I can recharge the shoes! It'll have a switch too. I can't seem to find a way to cut rubber out/off of the shoe though. Any ideas?

thats genius!

You can have the connector come out of the rear of the shoe. it would be like a giant ipod..lol

I dont have anymore spare ipod parts but a battery will cost around $15. plus some other misc ipod parts.

not sure about cutting into the shoe though. seeing as how i have no dremmel it will be difficult. mind as well put speakers in it like that one shoe...haha

EL-wire on shoes has been done before and can be bought for a nifty amount of money, you guys are too late.

Also LEDs in shoes..uhm...I thought every kid had a pair of flashing shoes in like 1998?

You can get those kind of shoes that light up when step on them ....

But it is cool idea and your doing it yourself so might as well

You can probably use a dremel to cut out the rubber.

yes when we were all 6 we had shoes that light up. im sure some of you guys had them. i didnt.

anyway, but no one had LED underglows...

like neon for under your car. but under your shoe! good for going to the club or something.

mind as well have el wire clothing. tron guy ftw!

and cut it hallow somewhat and make piller type things in teh middle and a crown around teh shoe

I've seen a sweatshirt with screw in speakers in it before, just no led's. I can probably try too when I get some time.

you would have to get some thick sole shoes, cut out a hole in each, wire up a speaker in them, and then never get them wet again. also, how will a speaker work if a shoe constantly bends from usage? unless you get tiny speakers and mount them in the sides, but then again we're talking about headphone size, so noone would hear them
