Analog and directional pad issue
« on: July 30, 2008, 09:01:35 PM »
I am able to move right and down on both controls but i am unable to move diagnal (down-right) I took off my face plate and i don't see anything wrong, I guess i have to take out the screen and mount to reconnect it from the board?

My question is what is everyone's experence on this issue and how was it fixed?

There is a shim that is under the joystick. Did you remove the joystick from the front panel ?

If not then put the faceplate back on.

Get this program and use it to test your joystick

http://mysite.verizon.net/restxsa0/joystick_nput_tester.zip

Follow the directions to install on your psp and it will test your joystick and show you the results on the screen.

Tighten the screws on that side of your keyboard and test again.

Most joystick problems are the stick not creating enough pressure on the contacts
and intermittent connection.
