Sega Gensis mod help

Hi, I am completely new to this and i was wondering if anyone could help me, i am tryin to put some led in my model2 genesis around the cartridge input ...where the oval ring is...but anyway what i would like to do is have the led not all on at once but have the light move around the ring. any help would be greatly apreciated.

i dont have a camera lol but i should be able to get some pics of it in a day or 2. and i am modding it 'cause it has been lyin around my house for many years unused and i thought y not start by modding something that is basically worthless lol no worries if i break it lol

I Cant find those things anywhare (well ebbay but...)
You should pratice on things like 5$ cheap radios
Anything worthless that takes 2 Double AAs
