Motherboards are made in production runs.

Sometimes they make changes in the motherboards because of small
design changes, component availability changes because they can't
get a part, or another part is cheaper.

Sony instead of using Revision 1 and Revision 2 numbering system
labels their board with a TA- series numbering system.

When you are looking at a motherboard to make mods and someone
says you have a TA-079 motherboard then the pictures from one
079 motherboard are the same as all other 079 motherboards.

Also the external boards like the wifi board has to match to the version
motherboard you have so a TA-079 motherboard has to go with a
TA-079 wifi board.

That way everything works together.

Also you will see some talk about a new motherboard that can not
run custom firmware yet.

I type it all myself.

I can type like faster than the computer can take it.

I used to think that I was making a lot of mistakes but found that the computer
could not keep up with me.

Somewhere around 250 words a minute

a TA-079 mobo can be combined with a TA-081 psp or wifi board but not with a TA-082 or -086

but you can combine a TA-082 with a TA-086

Here is some more info

TA-079 and TA-081 can be combined with eachother
and
TA-082 and TA-086 can be combined with eachother
nothing else is possible!

To all of you crying about lag and kicks, remember… when Jesus died, took him 3 days to respawn. Now THAT is lag.
