I've had a controller port wired into my computer for a year or so and that works just fine! With the right drivers, anythings possible.

not anymore than a standard usb device. I wired a usb cable to the controller port of one of my scrap xboxes ( i have 1 working and 2 for parts). Then simply mounted it all internally on the front of my tower. It's really the same as wiring it to a controller, but it doesn't screw up the controller. Then after you install the drivers, it's smooth sailing from there. The thing i'm gonna try next is including the driver files on a xbox mem card to make it entirely plug and play.
