Homemade Guitar hero 3 Wii fret board
« on: September 06, 2008, 07:07:30 PM »
Special thanks to treemty for the pictures.

I got pictures today of a les paul wii guitar controller and as soon as i got them i got right to work on making a homemade version.

I have no idea if this board is the exact size of the actually one because i don't have one in my hands so i would love for someone to make the pcb of one and test it for me.

here is the rendered image of it:

And here are the files.

the thought still escapes me as to why you'd want to make another one when the real controller works fine.

The thing you got to look at first is the pin-pcb connector.

The pins in the base wear through the pcb in the neck. Disconnecting the curcuit and no button working shiz.

I just desoldered the pins and pcb and soldered the wires straight through. So it isn't a detachable anymore, but who needs a detatchable neck? I made do without with the SG and Flying V.

Would it be possible to adapt this design as a controller ad-on for the PSP?

this has nothing to do with a new fret board.

yea should work, be rather easy too.
