« on: September 06, 2008, 07:47:13 PM »
So I was doing the rapidfire mod with the 3 wire method all was well until I tryed it out on my xbox when I turned it on the leds were not working but it was on!! I was testing it out in halo 3 and it wasnt rapid fire...I then  noticed that the whole right side of the controller got hot...so I oppened it up and my pic got glued down somehow and I then decided it was too close to the rumble so I took out the rumble checke all the wiring it was all good so i closed up the controller...then it would not even turn on or anything  but if I put the plug and play charge plug in te light on the cord would turn green but the controller would not turn on...

Yeah, I would say that your controller has scr**ed the pooch. The PIC cannot get hot enough to feel through the controller body and 'melt' (I am assuming when you said glue, you really meant melt) something without damaging itself and the controller too.

Someone may be able to offer advice. To start with, remove all wiring and try it out again to see if your controller can be salvaged.

At worst case, you only damaged the guts of the controller. You can buy a new one for $40 from amazon or a used one from gamestop and just transplant the internals to keep your special edition body.

Don't be jealous your not half as smart. I hate ****tards like you. An ignorant redneck. Your nothing but a posing ******. Get the **** out of here, really, your claim to fame is an open source rapid fire code? You make me laugh. You think you have control over the modding market?  You couldn't create what I can and do. You are too ignorant with your outrageous assumptions and accusations. [/Quote]

He doesn't even need a new one.  He could go on ebay and grab a used one for about $20.
