Hey that's pretty cool  How did you exactly etch onto the psp case anyways?

thanks ^_^

i masked the the area and designed what i wanted taking an exco knife i cut it out and with a 600grade sand paper i scratched the surface, when i took off the tape i saw the cutting made the right size of my design so i took a scribe (bought one at a discount hardware store) and etched my design in, getting all the area i missed with the sand paper, at the end i went back with a rougher sand paper to eleminate the scruf and went back with the finer 600 paper, only using a corner edge i filled in the rest...

Great idea and thanks for the response. If u don't mind me asking another question, but when you start to scratch the surface doesn't the masking tape come off as well?

no, i didnt go over the masking tape, but yeah as i started to scruf the surface it did tend to rip the tape and mangle it where the edges were. I did notice that and deside to hold back cause of that purpose, so when i took off the tape i saw that the razor sharp exco knife left like a trace on the surface, i used the scribe and scratched it to that the edges, Then went back with a heavy sandpaper went over teh scribes deep scratches to elminate any deep scrfs Then a lighter sand paper to get a finner less scruffy look more somewhat cleaner look... every now and then i would clean the surface with a towel and rubbing alcohol to clean off any fine dust to see how far i come, to do any minor adjustments ..all in, it was fun :yess: im working on a DS design for my GF she likes my brand or style

no problemo, ill make some designs up andyou can pick the ones you like

it would be awsome to see a psp shake that lights up, although a sound reactive psp is all the rage now... would be awsome to see some red, orange and yellow with white led around the design, would give it that fire look :D
