RROD Continuosly Appearing-Frustating!! Please Help..

  Hi Guys!!! I just purchased a use xbox 360 on ebay with the RROD problem. I went along replacing both of the X clamps with a set of machine screws and washers. Also, freshly applying a few dabs of artic silver 5 to both of the heat sinks. At this point, I'm putting things back together again including the heat sinks. After a few more small steps to take,when it came time to turn on the unit after waiting to cool down for about 20 minutes, the RROD appeared again. What can be the problem? Any suggestions please. Yeah, there is, Reflowing the motherboard.

i can repair, fixed 3 this week. $25  it includes as5, lapping heatsinks 7v, 9v, or 12v fan upgrades.

also cut the metal mesh from around the fans for better air flow.

if i can't fix theres no charge.

   Thanks for your replies guys. I finally got it to work for the moment. I found out that the smaller heat sink was not making direct solder contact with the motherboard, as it was designed by microsoft. After many hours of hit and miss, I found out that by directly heating the heat sink with either a heat gun or hair dryer would cause the solder contact joint to flow and make contact. Heating both heat sinks just by turning the unit on and disconnecting the rear fans was not enough to heat up the smaller heat sink. Finally, after being so stuborn, I got it to work fine.

kicks, no offense, but you tell people it can't be done much too often. there is a way to fix any problem, although sometimes it may be quite difficult, it still can be fixed. maybe you should provide some support for solving the problem instead of just saying it can't be done.

just because i dont post constantly doesn't mean that i dont read many other threads. and i can provide a few examples where you've told people that something can't be done. and there is a fix for everything, think about it

like what? im not trying to piss anyone off, i'm just saying that you should be a little more helpful. thats why people come to this forum. they don't come here to be told that something can't be done. but your right, this is off topic.

    Well guys, I like the effort and support here but I would have to say that just about any thing can be fix. The real question is, how far are you willing to go and how much you want to spend. Unfortunately, the fact that we are all different in our on ways, is the reason why there would always be different opinions. Lets respect each others opnions and stay positive. Peace out...
