ps3 controller mod help

u know the ps3 controller analog sticks get moved and the
direction u move it the most becomes its new sitting position i noticed the ps2 controller analogue sticks did not do that and i wanted to know would it be possible to swap the analogue sticks from one board to the other  i would do it myself but i am no good at creating my own mods only blindly following them
