Obviously. It will void the warranty on the wiimote.

Why on earth would you think otherwise, the big N doesn't intentionally WANT you to open their products up, of course it's going to void the warranty lol

(If that sounded a little harsh or anything, I'm sorry. It's 5:20am and I haven't slept yet, and thus have NO sense of anything. :D)

i didnt mean void the wimote i ment if i opened my wiimote would it void my wii warranty or just remote

... just think about it like this... how could nintendo possibly know if you opened your wii remote by just looking at the wii? 

it will not void your warranty...

though there is no way for them to know... hell... i TOLD them that my DS lite had been opened and they only charged me for the repair because it got wet  :w00t:

Yes there is.
There's no visible sticker, but if it's tampered with and they can find even the mildest sign of it, they'll know.

Of course they'll know if any of their products have been open. But I know several people who have opened their wii's to mod them, broke them, and Nintendo still repaired the unit for them.
