i snapped off the little nub of plastic on the power switch while tryying to squeeze everything back together and now am in need of a replacement, does anyone know where to find power boards for a phat (1000) cheap?

You don't really need to replace the powerboard unless you really want the power switch to work. You could turn the psp on and off with the music note button with a pretty easy mod. Also you could add your own button if you don't want to use the note button. You could also use a reed switch. That seems sort of popular.

The thing that all of these havin common itls that they bypass the power switch so you don't need it anyway. So if the original switch is broken it dozen matter.

I bought 3 powerboards from DX and they do not work perfectly. The music button or brightness button doesn't work on all of them.

i like the idea of the note button as the switch, is that a hard or soft mod? and i also like the idea of the reed switch could you be so kind as to post some links if they exsist. if nothing else thank you for the quck responce and the great tipps

Ok sorry I can't do links because I'm on my iPod touch right now. I can tell you that to find them, go to the tutorials be click on tutorials -PSP-. Then click on PSP Phat. The one for the reed switch is called "Reed Switch Securrity Mod For PSP Phat and Slim by l0rdnic0". The one for the note button is called "Power Switch to Face Button Rewire Mod". Both are pretty simple.

DX have made a bad change in supplier, before they used to have these blue PCBs, they were almost the exact same as OEM, apart from they were blue

Now they changed supplier and now its as if it HAS to be faulty, every single one must be faulty, like its a requirement (just like everything else I order from that cheap crap store)

I think they might be the about the same. I would just buy a used OEM powerboard if I really needed one.

Damn. I always break things so I know I'm gonna need some spares... and used OEM ones are sorta hard to come by and if you do come by one it's usually like 10 bucks off ebay.

Apparantly there is always something wrong with their new ones... Oh well a recent review said they're fine so I will probably buy some anyways...

I ordered about 5 only 3 months ago and all of them have problems and I emailed DX about it, and there doing the same thing as always, ignoring my emails

i have been waiting for a power board, wifi board, clear buttons, 6 analog nubs (to replaces 3 messed up ones and 3 for spares),and a shell for someone since the begining of feb. i will not order through dx again after i finally recieve my purchases in the mail if they ever come LOL

DX powerboards woks fine. I have ordered 7 of em and all WORKS. The older powerboards that dx had was

(blue ones). The green ones works.

does any1 here have the pics where you solder wire to the powerboard to make it turn on from the music note i broke the switch of my psps power switch and don't want to wait on dx to fix it lol and all the pics are broken in the tutorial
