im a noob with working on pc. i just want to know how to run dual boot on my pc?

well there is a few questions we have to ask first.

1. Do you already have an O.S. installed.
2. How big is your hard drive
3. What operating systems do you want to dual boot
4.(optional but could be helpful) system specs

1. i have vista install
2. my hd is 300gb
3. i might want 2 dual boot xp or linux or xp chinese

How do u install dual boot on a new pc w/o o.s. install?

okay so you mean before you install the O.S. ?
If so then insert your vista disk and then go to where it says advanced on the format screen. Then click partition and partition it how you want it. I am not sure if that is it exactly but it must be close. Lol I cant remember but it was pretty self explanitory.

well my sugestion would be that you follow this link: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-Manual/install-guide/ch-x86-dualboot.html

and then once that is done just over write the linux install with the OS you want buy selecting to write to that partition.

You never overwrite an existing install...
