What's the "catch" for Amazon?
« on: February 03, 2009, 10:01:01 AM »
I've always wondered... Why is Amazon cheaper to buy most things from? Like a dremel from say, wal-mart is like 90 bucks, but the same thing from Amazon is like 70... I know they're reliable, but then why is it that much cheaper?

also instead of having to buy or rent expensive property in towns and citys they can buy up really big cheap warehouses and they dont have to pay heating as non of there products require heat they then hire a relatively small workforce to use automated systems and pick all the items at just above minimum wage. and because there a world wide retailer they can buy everything in bulk direct from manufacturer and get discounts for it
