Err, would you be able to specify in more detail exactly what happened? The on-screen keyboard does take a while to use but if we can know all of the details your problem is more likely to be solved.
It's the basics that bring us down.

Liquids were spilt on his laptop, laptop works, keyboard doesn't... Doesn't need much more detail.

To P3t3r: Yeah electronics and water just doesn't mix. Sometimes, if you get water on something, drop it in a pool, etc. if you take out the batteries asap, and then leave it for a while to dry, it magically works again. Otherwise, you might be screwed.

Whoops, sorry about my last post. Browser wasn't displaying the actual text on this certain thread.

Yes, probably would be good to follow Justin's advice, but if that doesn't work, the problem probably will be in the keyboard itself, which wouldn't be very good at all  :faint:. Still, then the cheapest way to fix that would be a USB keyboard.....

This is quite a common topic online. The fact that it's lemonade makes matters a bit worse.

@justin: That might actually be an idea. I had a look on the internet and that generally seems to be the way to go.

Yes I'm serious... People have dropped ipods and stuff into washing machines and did a full wash, took it out, dried the exterior, left it to air dry for a few days, and magically it worked again.

try and see if you can remove those buttons, there might be some juice beneath them, that has dried and that might be blocking the contacts of the buttons.
if you can remove then clean them ;) and the contacts.
