Visualizer for Background

Does anyone know if there would be a way to edit the xmb to take off the restriction that turns off the xmb music player when moving anywhere other than photos in the menus. If possible this would allow the visualizer to be a wallpaper of sorts. Or just replace the waves files with a hacked visualizer... I don't know much about code but I'm guessing the first would be easier.
