Help moving the Y button on a 360 controller

I'm starting to plan out this years summer project.  I've been thinking of moving the whole Y button to underneath the controller.  Approximately where the rapid fire triggers go.  Are there any tutorials out there on how one might accomplish this.  I tried a search that didn't bring up anything relevant.
