Soldering iron tip... tips!
« on: March 05, 2009, 07:18:36 PM »
ok, I've heard some of you guys having these problems, and so have I, but this has fixed my problems.

Q: My tip is too big for soldering PSP stuff.
A: If you don't want to BUY another tip a DIY solution is get a file and file you tip down to a point, then rub the very bottom tip of the soldering iron tip a few time against the file so you do actually get some heat from the point.

Q: My tip is not hot.
A: Again here is a filing solution, just file the end of you tip until you see metal (not tin) the metal of the actual soldering iron tip, then once done, brush off all the dust, once done heat up your iron, then before attempting to use it in the tip and there ya go!
