It's driving me insane, what cable/jack/plug is F00 f00 using?? I've mailed him MANY times and he has never replied. Also how do I embed a video?
I copied the Embed code and inserted the Flash Objects code on here with the Embed code in the middle.

You think it's that easy but it's not, you need a small plug that actually HAS something to solder unlike the ipod plug it also needs to be a certain thickness and have enough pins to use for the buttons and analog. It's not easy at all!
It also needs to have a male and female to make a solid connection.

because he is currently taking time out to do something different he is no longer in his country of residence the UK and is in another country doing what he loves. he pops onto the site from time to time to see if its still up as far as i know. i think it is a 15 pin connector that you could get both a female and a male part from someware like farnell

You have no idea.. I have been scowering google shopping and all the cable websites I can find to get the right thing, like I said, you need a small plug that actually has something to solder unlike the ipod plug it also needs to be a slim enough to fit in a 2000 and have enough pins to use for the buttons and analog.

What do you think? if I stick a piece of thin cardboard or heavy paper in-between the pins to stop bridging would I be ok with the non-breakout connector?

I would stick a business card in there instead. but IDK if it's worth it because the card would burn and it wouldn't stop it from bridging the pin in front of it.
