Removable PS2/PSX Controller for PSP
« on: March 14, 2009, 09:03:31 PM »
I am going to try this as I see the only thing on here about it is the UNremovable PSX controller mod, well I am going to try a removable one! I haven't wired out the analogs in my diagram but I will use the USB dual analogs tutorial for that...

Is this Correct? also does anyone have the PCB pimout for the PS2 controller? anyone here with a multi-meter and some free time this about greatly be appreciated

elite this is a little offtopic but i want to try to make a removable umd drive. Basically it should just involve extension of the ribbon cable and making a male/female connection, right ? Opinion ?
  you look like a carrot.
My nickname at school is carrot cake, because i can't get tan. I get orange. and my face is shaped like a carrot. And i make a mean carrot cake.

Can you not read lol? I said I did not add the analog(s) in my pic

But I can do it like that right? do I just follow the USB analog for PSP tutorial except insted of adding a USB just put it back in the controller then?

Also I wonder how I would wire dual analogs via PS2/PSX controller...

But is my "wiring" correct on this?
If I use the slim pinout and solder to those points but I still need a PS2 PCB pinout...

Looks ok.

You should add a common ground.

Make things easier.

To my knowledge there was one person working on this.

He had good progress.

I wish you good luck man.

Thats gonna be some fun soldering.

Here is this better?

Also do Dualshock 1 and Dualshock 2 analog sticks work the same? cause I might have to get a Dualshock 1 cause no one knows the PCB pinout for the DS2 but we do know the pinout for DS1
