Yes that pack contains the correct one but also another type.

how do i know which is the right one?

the one i got i actually went to a store to get. It said it was a 1N914/1N4148 switching diode, but what does that exactly mean and will it work for the above programmer? and on it, there were red and white bands. Im guessing that red is positive and white is negative?
