Alright, this isn't to say that a lot of you haven't heard of these guys, but from what I see in here is a lot of "Oh, I <3 Seether and A7X. Oh, what about Bodom?"

Sure, all great bands, I won't deny, but I'm here to try and open you up to some rarely spoken of bands. Some people might benefit from this, lol.


Metal & Rock Bands:


Death Metal: Dimmu Borgir:

A very dark, dark band. Great death metal.

Dimmu Borgir - Hybrid Stigmata



Progressive Metal: Dream Theater

A very meaningful band. A story in every song. Also has the greatest guitarist ever.

Dream Theater- Fatal Tragedy



Progressive Rock: Kamelot

A band with an old "Medieval" feel to them. This song here actually stars the screamer from Dimmu Borgir.

KAMELOT - March Of Mephisto



Techno/Emo/Screamo/Metal: Attack Attack!

This is a great band. Love them to death.

02 Attack Attack! - Stick Stickly




Rock/Metal: Tool

I'm sure many of you know about Tool. They're a great, calming and ambient band.

Flobots:

We all know of their hit-single, "Handlebars", but do we ever check out their other awesome music? They do exactly as their name says. Flow.

Most of you have probably heard of these guys before as well. Extreme screaming band. Psychotic feel.

I KNOW most of you have heard of them. I just love them and they deserve a spot here anyhow.

Extreme screaming for the most part. Just a good screamo band.

AMAZING Techno/Screamo artist. Simply one of my favorite people to ever listen to.

Pendulum:

I'm sure many of you have heard Pendulum before. Pretty great techno band, they are.

Like I originally said, I wasn't saying that you haven't heard of them. It's mostly for those that don't get out and listen.

Also, I must say... Hearing of a band and listening to their songs, (more than just 1, too), are a completely different thing.

dude i never listen to just one song. I hate doing that. You can't judge someone with just one song or something. I prefer to listen to atleast one complete album at the minimum...

A kind of obscure genre, but I still love it. Gabber. It's just awesome :). Meccano Twins, G Town Madness, G. Shock, Nosferatu, they're all good.

I wish Thunderdome CD's were available in England (If anyone knows of a record shop where they sell Thunderdome, Please Tell ME!!!).

Dream Theater = heard a few from them was really cool
Attack Attack = omg i'm gonna go see them at the warped tour i love them XD
I set my friends on fire = omg i love them too i'm gonna see them at the warped tour also
Flobots = weird but in a good way i like them
RJA = pretty good but only has a few good songs
Pendulum = my fav is blood sugar

i heard most of these but you should've also put shiny toy guns on there and also aiden (i <3 you will francis XD)

ok here is a question... what do you consider mainstream?  It seems my definition and yours are COMPLETELY different...

imho most of that sucks... not trying to be rude or anything, just my opinion  :dntknw:
