"Tampa police say Billy Mays, the television pitchman known for his boisterous hawking of products such as Orange Glo and OxiClean, has died. He was 50.

Authorities say Mays was pronounced dead this morning after being found by his wife at home. There were no signs of a break-in, and investigators do not suspect foul play. The coroner's office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

Mays' wife, Deborah Mays, says the family doesn't expect to make any public statements and asked for privacy.

Mays was also featured on the reality TV show "Pitchmen" on the Discovery Channel, which followed Mays and Anthony Sullivan in their marketing jobs."

This is scary.. everyone is dying left and right. It's not even funny..

Does the text "2012" come to mind? (real life conspiracy not the movie).

I was just watching pitchmen this morning

The products he pitches are not his. It's everyday people's ideas that he tries to market. But I do agree some of them sucked. Billy Mays can't die. I think these people are faking their deaths and going to some big island or something

It is not that he lied about the quality of the product. He is paid to read a script. The truthfulness of his statements are not legally his obligation, however it is bad for his image. Now imagine the millions of dollars he got paid for each of his pitches. With that much money, who would care if people didn't like you? Just like a bad movie. You can think the movie sucks, that doesn't mean the actors care about your opinion because there too busy making sure there trust funds don't become too low.

It is a shame his family had to loss a loved one, at least have some respect for them.

Man I just watched a new episode last Wednesday... Man I feel so bad for his son. It must be devastating for him and his family. Why this shock's me more is he always looked so healthy and strong.

Calculations:

7 billion people on earth.
Average life expectancy is about 66.12 years ~ 24150 days

7 billion people / 24150 days is just less than 300k

However, life expectancy is increasing, and population is increasing, so the actual number should be lower than 300k.

Well Billy mays died that is indeed sad, His infomercials were funny to watch when you been up for 20+ hours. Well anyways, I'm sure you all heard about the whole Celebs die in 3s First in was Micheal Jackson.(STFU he was Badass) Farrah Fawcett (Her and MJ are the only ones that truly sadden me.) followed in the deaths, Now its Billy mays. Its Sad but its life.
