Black screen
« on: July 02, 2009, 12:30:05 PM »
So heres what happened, I was replacing my broken WiFi card and I broke of the outlet to wich the power cord connects.

To make things worst I tried soldering it back but the connection was bad ( Im new to this ) and instead of unsoldering it properly I just yanked it off.
Turns out one of the pins was soldered right because that ripped out the small metal piece I am supposed to solder to.

This is the part I ripped out. The pin AND the tiny metal thing it holds on to so I dont think I can ever get power supplied throught there.

I dont have camera with macro so these are pics from google.

I was wondering if I could redirect power into the part on the other side where the battery plugs in.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, even ways to power up the battery outside the psp at this point.
Its been out for months and I just want to play it.

Okay, so I tried poking the broken node with the power supply cord while it was plugged to see if I could get power and turns out I could.
I droped some solder and wired the whole thing back up.

Problem is now the screen doesnt work anymore.
I think the exposed wire touched the screen mount and something might have fried.

When I boot I see it light up a bit but no image and the bightness button doesn't do anything.

What could it be?

the mobo, the screen, the battery, any ideas?

most likely you have to just bridge the screen fuse and for the broken charger thingy you could have did a usb port mod.
