psp wifi switch

i wanna do the internal cam mod but i was wonderin if its possible to use wifi switch i had 3 ideas but ill ask the pros first:

1: would it be possible to desolder wifi switch and bridge the connections with wire to where its always on. and use slide switch like normal.

2: do it the way like lordnicos tutorial for sound reactive mod (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=10815.0) just connect to cam not led

3: do excatly like number 2 but instead of connecting ground to switch connect it to power ground so its like a constant hot ground or battery negative.

im just brainstorming plz help me on this. thanks all acidmod members.

You should be able to do it with the relay. Preferably a reed relay.

none of the options you put above. you want the switch to disconnect and connect it from the usb correct?

correct but if those dnt work can u show me some slideswitches i can get or an item that i can take it off of

thank you for letting me know and showing me which one to get but i would just like to know y it wouldnt work so next time i do a mod i know.

because any switch in the psp has either a ground or a positive connected to it so it would never allow a clean connection to turn the camera off and on, hence a ultra minature switch can be used, i have some of those exact ones myself  they are small enough to fit in most places in the psp, behind the wifi board is a good place to put switches as there is always room for lots of stuff there, just cut a small rectangle in the case so you can switch it on and off.

in theory, you could switch it with the wifi or hold switches. you would just use the reed relay thats used in the rumble mod and a few others. you would just use the wifi or hold switch to provide the ground to the relay, thus switching it on and off.

im not too familiar with how the reed relay specifically is hooked up, but i have used other relays before. This should work, but youll have to ask someone whos used the reed relay how to hook it all up.

thx yea i got it to work but i want a little bit of that modded look so i just put the switch on the side of my psp thx for all the help everyone
