PSP Analog nub rewire?
« on: August 13, 2009, 01:22:01 PM »
First of all im no idiot so dont judge me if this sounds wrong to you i am no expert in converting analog signals to digital which is why i have come for some help, I am an experienced modder of many consoles now but i'm not too sure about this, and before you ask no i dont have a multimeter.

Would it be possible for me to simply rewire the analog nub from the psp to convert it to digital as i do not want to spend £12.50 on a razor board from coolmods as i beleive that it is extorsionate.

I was thinking that you would wire 2 of each of the points to one button to convert it to digital as then both points would need to be touching for the connection to be made?

or scratch the current board in the nub so that it only makes a connection in digital mode?

is any of this possible?

any help appreciated thanks.

Unless you know how to programme PIC's then no,you can't just rewire the analog.
I wrote a PIC programme last year to do this, don't have it anymore, but even still, just get a razor. There are some members who make their own and would be glad to sell you some at a discounted price.
