Quote
that it will also give high-bandwidth users incentives to "reduce or modify their usage."
That doesn't say they WILL reduce it... or am I missing something?

If they change anything on your contract before it's over or if you don't agree to the change , then it voids the contract and you can cancel it. In the uk there was a number used to free but it changed to premium number, so lots of people canceled there contracts early

I agree that it is, but I mean I can understand what they're getting at since the network is being clogged up

Actually I think instead of putting the blame on consumers they should shut up and spend some of the billion $$$ they have to actually improve their network so they don't have the problem and they don't lose subscribers.   IF they actually do that they will be able to bring in more people too.

but we all know it's easier just to :censored: with consumers instead.

I agree with you Tri-Edge. I mean, I'm not an iPhone user myself, but if I was I would complain to corporate to stop wasting their money on lawyers for lawsuits between Verizon and them. They just need to update their budget plan so that they can provide the best possible service to their customers.

wow that blows i hope they dont try to get me to stop in the UK as i use a lot of data on my iphone probably about 4GB in total since i last restored it a month or two ago which i think is a fair bit for a phone. but all these providers really need to invest some more in there networks and fast as phones and users arnt going to just stop using data but instead as more people get smartphones and get used to using them and move onto there second or third etc smartphone there usage will just get more and more as the device becomes more integrated into there day to day life

but it doesnt suprise me that they want to do this as since the iphones release ATT have seen over a 4000% increase in network usage,

i am not responsible for what i do or my advice

Holy :censored: 4 gigs?

Man, I gotta pay like 20 a month for 500megs. And that's freakin discounted.

You guys right now are lucky.

But yeah, back to the topic, they should just upgrade their network instead of :censored:in at the other. Bell and Telus are large service providers out here, and they've been upgrading the networks up here to 3G+. Pretty sure Rogers is too. And we aren't even clogged!

I guess at least something's going right in Canada.

Yeah, I wanted to get an iPhone for a long time, but then  I figured that if it is so good then it will be around for a while and I might as well wait for them to come out with a better version for cheaper and work all of the kinks out of the new network system...  I writhed in jealousy over those who had them for about three weeks when they came out but it got easier.
PS  I am a PC person and really am not a big fan of the macbooks and such but the iPod and iPhone are great products.
