I just had to help ruin christmas for an underprivileged family consisting of 3 little girls and her parents. GOD :censored:ING DAMMIT. I'm about to cry, and I don't do that.

My aunt and uncle have a dog who lives in a kennel almost 24/7. They promised us we could give the dog to an underprivelaged family we know. This was going to be a blessing for their family, who can't really afford presents. They bought food, a house, and a leash for this dog. Well, my uncle just called and said that their 9 year old won't give up the dog and that they're siding with him. My mom said she won't speak to them until they give up the dog. And now I'm in the middle and I had to help break the news to the family.

My mom said she might if things don't pan out. It's just that I know this family, and their friends of ours. I feel really badly for them. But, she's driving down tomorrow to confront them in person because they stopped answering the phone

they live 2 hrs away.

Thx. But this is getting out of hand. My dad called my grandma, who called my uncle. He said the same thing to his own mother, who pleaded for them to give up the dog. Now my grandparents are mad at them. Their 9 year old just got them in a LOAD of trouble.

think about this, if u do get the dog, can you imagen the look on the face because they wernt thinking they would get anything. if anything go get one from a shelter and give them it. make sure it's young because they can still be traind

Hey man, check craigslist. It usually has a coue dogs that owners can't afford to keep, check it out

Uh, no I'm not. 80% of the dogs there are from foster homes. I was just looking in my area, and I saw a nice Siberian Husky, a pug, a st. Bernard, free.

Ok, this just in. They're giving us the dog. You know why? My Grandma heard the story, and called my uncle in tears astonished that he would do that. She then said that unless they gave up the dog, she would buy a new dog for the family and take the money out of his christmas check xD. Oh, and they're giving their 9 year old an ipod touch 32 gb to make up for losing the dog, which he doesn't even care about anymore because he's getting another ipod.

Grandma to the rescue. I'm SO glad this ended up good, I love my gramma.

I have been watching this play out from the first few posts and I will finally contribute... If you don't mind me saying,... holy bejeezus!!!

That is like really depressing in some ways but now I am glad that everything worked out.
If this is Christmas, I don't even want to hear about thanksgiving.

These situations happen to everyone I'm just glad that it didn't get as bad as it could have in your case. Enjoy the rest of your holiday...
