wow, I prepared my cart last night, got up at 4:30am this morning, then the servers were so bogged down I was stuck at the shipping page for 2hours. Now its all over, guess it was never meant to be, oh well good on sparkfun for becoming #1 on google. I am sure I would have got something had the servers been faster.

So any of you get any free merch?

I was reminded by my friend at 1:30pm today. According to Sparkfun's site, it lasted less than 2 hours which means I would've needed to have bought stuff before 11... =/ I could've at lunch from my iPod. :censored:er.

That's unbelievable. Got into IRC channel 1hour before the start of the free day. At 9AM the site was down then it was put back up but has been unusable for 2 hours.

I think i refreshed more than 300 times, i stayed all the time in front of this stupid monitor. I got 10-15 times into the shipping part of the checkout, 7 times into the payment one, but dammit, i got stuck there.

I waited more than a month for this free day, i stayed there all the time, and i have not been able to place my order. That was my chance to enter in electronics world, being only 15 i can't spend 100$ on these things.

That was unbrowsable. I repeat, i was refreshing 2-3 times a minute, for 2 hrs. Not been able to complete this :censored:ing order.

Oh, yeah, donate to the IT department, sure.

I was trying since the time it started 5am NZ time, to the time it finished 6:50isham NZ  time, It was so dam frustrating, watching all the Americans with more of an advantage on twitter counting down the money, I managed to move from the checkout page I had open the night before, to the shipping page, then I couldn't get any further than that. Its not like I was even going for a soldering station, all I needed was some flux pens, and soldering iron tip cleaner, which cost like 50x more over here.

The point is that so many people made a 99$ shopping cart, maybe for reselling items.

All i wanted was an arduino, an arduino protoboard and a small breadboard. Less than 50$. If everybody would have made a 50$ cart, then 1000 people more would have get the deal.
