Female B, usb 3.0 mod possible?
« on: January 11, 2010, 07:44:57 PM »
So I've heard the 3.0 usb cord is out and about now. My question is can you get a female B usb 3.0 cord and replace a phat/slim/3000s stock female hub with it to get faster transfer rates of music and ISO/CSO files?

That being said I've heard the saying if the hardware fits you need to software to make it run, would this in theory apply to said PSPs?

yeh you will both need the software to support the usb 3.0 and you would also need to replace the usb controller chipset in any devie to get it to work and even then its pushing it i think. no doubt sony will use the 3.0 usb as another reason to release a small iteration of the psp in order to further get more money from loyal customers

I see, I see.

Personally I like the phat and I do believe it has the slowest transfer rate between it and the slim/3000.

It would be a cool mode thats really where it lacks not to mention you can only have a targus with a 1000. btw I  found some IR headphones on the web today I'm sure the software part of what you said applies to them if they could be used with a phat.

I always like first gen sony consoles.

thanks for the reply  :drunk:
