PS3's are more complex than an xbox, also it has a curved case, which makes it more difficult to design a window. you could just as easily pout a ps3 is a lian li case if you really wanted to

yes, the problem is the curvature, but.... there'is a ''map'' of the components of ps3? Maybe I could design a special case only for Ps3,,,,

Its the price that scares ppl to mod ps3s, but since the price has come down significantly, I mean now there half the price I paid for mine. There will be some more modding to come. I took me a while to mod my PS3, but now its not so bad. Its hard to mod the thing since its so crammed together. My comparison is that a 360 is like a desktop PC, tons of room to put windows and run wires all throught, and the PS3 is like a Mac Mini, all crammed together and hard to fit anything in. My 60GB PS3 for example, I had to remove the card reader for my pulsevu chip to fit properly. But its not that big of a inconvience since everyone pretty much uses USB to transfer stuff.

There is tons of space in a Ps3 what are you talking about.
IMO, PS3 is the easiest console to mod, seeing as there are only leds mods, and paint. It's also extremely easy to take apart.

I will have a working case mod in about a week. It will be  different than the MODDER(alman101 i think that's you!) but he definitely inspited me to give it a try. I'll post pics and a video link when it's all done(waiting for LEDs)....

haha maybe, I created a lot of new ps3 controller mods in that competition. And ive seen them duplicating around youtube. The d-pad glow mod is definitely gettin around, and ive gotten a million questions about problems ppl are having. I usually respond to the harder questions. Ive been helping this one guy wire a pulsevu 2x chip to his PS3 (maybe its you?). That how-to vid will be made this week since I'm puttin an on/off switch to control all the fans I recently put in. People wanted to know if that mod works, they want to know how loud the CPU/GPU fan gets with the fans on and off. If there really doing anything at all. He also did the d-pad and 4 button LED mods to his controllers. I tried to be inovative in that mod-off, I think the Playstation community finally saw the potential of modding. I would love to get my hands on a Slim some day... maybe after the Rubix Cube project.....

Funny you should say that cuz I'm gonna enter my ps3 case mod in the spring mod off and I'll be adding the pulsevu 2 to it (as long as it gets here on time) I would definitely appreciate your input on the best way to wire that badboy up to the ps3. I started on it this morning and I'll be putting pics up in the Mod off forum as soon as my kids go to bed.....I forgot to put the Little mod off sign in my first few pics......hope that won't disqualify me :drunk:
