« on: November 13, 2010, 11:09:32 PM »
Not a long time ago i tried to do a speaker mod on my psp but i broke the fuse. After i broke it i just bridged it and after i was done doing sound mod i did reactive leds and i had no problem with leds, but my battery keeps discharging when i put it in my psp :/ do you guys know why this is happening and maybe how to fix it? I would appreciate your help.

EDIT: My psp gets hot to when i charge it :/

thats sounds crappy man. what is the wattage of the speaker you added? it might be draining the battery a lot. (and on average how long does the battery last for?) And also maybe you should try a new battery cuz they dont last forever (Fast drainage on a battery is often caused by a worn out battery cell AKA: it's time to buy a new battery)

careful after bridging the fuse, my experience I fried 1 MoBo with 1 another over wattage speaker.

the battery keep draining simply because it's fake battery, it also could spoil your PSP by using non genuine battery, I got 1 fake battery (faulty) and it became hot while I'm gaming, luckily I took it out and it smell burn from the battery,

get original 1

lol omg your battery could have heated  up and killed itself if the thing shorted. :o
take a picture of the installed dip switches because they are huge to fit inside of a psp; a bit curious to where you are going to install it.

yeah id love to see those pics. but i think you might be better to use a 2-way switch for the power. just hook both wires up to the one prong and then the other two up to the other one. i think it should still work... although i havent tried with a psp before.
