putting my 360 controller into a new shell.
« on: November 26, 2010, 09:52:41 PM »
Does anyone have a mapped board for a 360 controller? I am a noob and don't want to go guessing in the dark and ruin the board. Any help is appreciated thanks!

I got a really nice Xbox controller from GameStop a few years ago.
However since we got the 360, we stopped playing the Xbox. I still have the controller and I liked the look and feel of it. A picture of one similar to it is at

I will post more in depth pics when I get a chance.
My problem is that the board wont fit because it is to wide.
I was wondering if I could re-solder the joysticks/triggers and switch them out. Also I was wondering if there was a way I could rewire the buttons so they would fit the new shell.

As you can see I need to be able to rewire the XYAB buttons as well as the analog sticks and triggers. I was wondering if I could just solder a wire from the board to a different push button, then back to the board again?(Of course keeping + - in mind) I think I can just use the old triggers and analog sticks. (Pics of those on the way) I was also wondering if I could cut the controller board a bit. As you can see it's to big for the shell of the other controller.
Thanks again and any help is appreciated!
