yep all the rumors was right the playstation phone is coming and very quick from the count down on facebook.

you mite have seen advert that ran during last night’s Super Bowl.Say hello to the Sony Ericsson ‘Xperia Play’.

That hasn’t stopped Sony from denying the machine’s very existence until now, of course. Such is their perplexing habit...

Anyway, the proverbial cat is properly out of the figurative bag now, and the 'Xperia Play' is pretty much as the pundits had previously described it. Basically, it’s an Android-based handset with a slide-out panel that houses the familiar PlayStation controls. Meanwhile, an on-board ‘PlayStation Suite’ will enable users to download PlayStation One games via the PlayStation Network.

It’s “the smartphone with everything you need and the one thing you want” murmurs the gravel-voiced bloke in the TV ad. Well, yeah, although Android phones already offer PSOne emulation for those that want it, and, truth be told, we were rather hoping that Sony would be bringing PS2 games to the party this time around. It looks like that’s going to be something for the next-generation of PlayStation phones, though.

god i hope not... it does say 3g that would imply gsm but a cdma model would help there sales

keep in mind it is android so we are open to lots of emulators and i would guess we could see a psp emulator not long after this phone drops

its very unlikley to be cdma as most of the world use GSM

yes! CDMA, it might be the easiest phone to change from carrier to carrier. Plus, there are more carriers for cdma than GSM in the us. plus if its in gsm it probably be sim locked, and cdma you can change the PRL setting :).

That's what I'm saying! And sprint doesn't have iPhone yet, i think this is going to be there's, at least I hope...
