My gf's ps3 has issues.

The audio jacks have to be pumped through a separate amp not connected to the TV, or else there's major pink noise.
As well, the video is causing the vertical bar scrolling up.
Pumping the audio through my reciever helps with the pink noise, and I patched the video through an RF modulator, which lessened the vertical bar, but it's still there.

I tried using the SVideo out from the RF modulator, but it just comes out over dotted/stippled/pixelized (magazine picture dots style).
Any ideas? On the same TV I can plug in my PS3 with the same AV cables and it's fine. I've also tried 4 different 1st party A/V cables, and I'm using the best one of those 4. It makes a slight difference, but not much of one.
I don't want to go buy a 20-50 dollar piece of equipment I can fab up myself, but it'd help to know what parts I'd need to fab with. I need to ground something - but what is it that should be grounded?
