Using my Feet
« on: April 19, 2011, 12:49:18 AM »
I have tried to get someone interested in this concept.  I already do this with the WII, I put the Nunchuck on the floor and use my feet to control the motion.

Why is everyone always 100% focussed on trying to cram everything into one controller?  Why not move the motion controls to the feet and have a slimmer, easer to hold controller for aiming/firing?

I am very interested in pursuing this concept and have the resources to help with some of the research costs.

tae kwon doe on the wii, why not?

i'd play it that would be sick. maybe like a little strap on thing that goes around your shins and it measures force just like the wiimote.

games will then need to accommodate the extra sensors, but nobody made a martial arts game yet lol.

or just a balance board with switches under it for up, down, left, right... kinda like a DDR pad... and connect it to one of the analog sticks on a 360 controller...

I guess I am still not getting my point across correctly.

I want to move the movement switches on an xBox controller to a foot/toe operated device, leaving the firing, pointing controls on a one-handed controller.  Is this a concept that is difficult to grasp?

have your left foot control the left analog stick and right foot control the right analog stick, then the ABXY buttons/directional buttons on the pad for your hands like a regular controller(but no analog sticks)

got ya

Yeah thats totally possible, you just have to run wires from the pad's circuit board long enough to reach your feet and possibly make the analog sticks larger so your foot could grasp it easier.
