I was wondering if this mod was at all possible, and if so how would one go about doing it.

i have read up on this mod the first time i came across it but alas it is an impossible mod unles you wnat to go about completly tearing apart your psp in the process...

idk maybe the R&D on the site might no how but ive read alot of places that that was just a concept picture/idea.

well im getting a second 1000 and was curious if i could. you know, have a psp with super old skool style. either way one of them is going to be a project psp and the other will be my main psp. BTW twisted i want to know EXACTLY how you did that to your machine, looks so great.

Im thinking of making a tut but i have to have the time... PLus i donr really want to open it again. But ill do it when i get my CR 3100 in the mail cuz then i have to open it anyways.

Hell I really like this... I wonder if It is possible? If the motherboard fits in sideways.... but how would you get that screen to accept the signal from the psp?

Possible? Yes. Easy? No. It would be the hardest Mod i've seen done, maybe if you make a custom case, to keep the same PSP screen

doable but very difficult, slightly you would probably need to have access to things like cnc, injection moulding and vacuum forming equiptment, but i believe the one in the above picture is fake because the screen is the wrong size. i really like the concept though cos i hate the way psps are normally

I would think so, it you could make one with the same plugs, or use a go's screen if that would fit any better.

Edit: everyone!, dont not attemp this it does not work!!! i learned the hard way, now i cant make the mod anymore. but we can still try folding the mobo to fit!

its in a gameboy colour case, it has the same speaker grill, the curve on the bottom corner, the power LED, the screen is identical.

i say its possible. with photoshop.

if you could make a custom case for it, youd be able to make one slightly bigger than that, but i dont think you would ever get it down to that size.

Wtf... The psp motherboard is bigger than the gameboy advanced itself i'm pretty sure.

What i'm worried about is the screen. Who cares about the case. You can make a custom case of that design, no matter how large it is. But what about the screen? That looks like a 4:3 screen... What would you do about this? I know someone made tv out on the psp 1000... so would it be possible to use another lcd??

yeah you'd just have to use the audio/video plug on the bottom and then once it's all hooked up. Just push the screen button on the home bar to have it switch on the screen

Well the mobo fits, but the screen will never fit lol wayy to big. were gonna have to find a screen or some way to get it to work.

Could take apart an AV adapter cable and use the plug as a port for the new screen! And i have an AV cable i dont use! lol it's perfect!!!

are you sure the screen and backlight will be powered through the cord? because i dont think power runs through it nut i dont know much about anything so.. aksi i have a psp 1k mobo thats blacklight and video things are rippped off, we could use this couldnt we?
