PSP Go Classic/Awsome Looks! (W.I.P.)
« on: May 08, 2011, 09:36:02 PM »
This is a post shared by nEoVaLoR and myself CreativeMindMedias.

We'll be posting our pictures of our PSP Go's and the various color scheme's we've used.

We are both currently waiting for our PSP Go housing to arrive in the mail, and will be updating when they arrive!

Stay Tuned!

UPDATE:

- I have received my red PSP Go housing in the mail and will be posting pictures of it when nEoVaLoR uploads his pics.

- As of yet nEoVaLoR has not received his housing in the mail but hopefully it will arrive soon.

Nice news with the housing, I actually just received a black housing psp go housing in the mail yesterday (didn't want a flashy color) because I really messed up the slider, scratched it up a lot from a lot of drops, and it took me a whole 6 hours to take it apart and put it back together. The start/select buttons were tricky, too, I actually had to rip them off to put the into the new housing, lol. Of course, it feels a tiny bit wobbly in some sections, and not really feeling like how I first got it, but at least it looks brand new now, just gotta get some brasso for the lcd screen scratches. Besides my psp 3000 faceplate mods, a full housing is a first for me, so I guess I'm a modding noob. I wish you could've finished your psp go internal camera, and you wouldn't really need any scripting/dev magic for it to work since it already has its own adapter. If you would've finished it with success, and especially if you'd posted video on it, I know I would've done it too, but I'm not gonna try it now. Well, with that said, good luck with your current project!

6 hours seems a tad bit long just to install housing, and you shouldn't have had to rip the start and select buttons off. The goal of replacing housing is to have everything feeling the same as before or better, so the wobbliness does not sound good either.. Make sure you practice!! And even if he would've installed that go cam, that seems a tad bit difficult to be your first soldering mod..

wek i got my psp go in my new case and it dosent do the slide down screen anymore. I guess something isnt touching.
And yeah 6 hours ir a VERY long time to do just a case swap.
Also the start/select ribbon cable is fragile so ripping it out is not good. The outside start/select buttons are just a sticker and can be peeled off to remove the ribbon cable for it.

Note to self: Don't use ebay. Ever again. -_-

No eBay isn't the best for that sort of thing. i only use it for LED's and hard to find stuff like PIC's or transistors and stuff. You know... stuff that comes from huge retail sellers in japan or china or somewhere.
