Using a PSP as an external screen for a DSLR

I've just found my old PSP and it got me thinking if it would be posable to use it as an eternal monitor for my Canon DSLR camera. I'm filming all the time and it would be extremely handy if i could have a screen that i could move around with. does anyone know if this is posable to achieve?

No you can't. The PSP is a slave device as well as the camera.  A computer is a master device.  Slaves can't talk to each other directly.  Masters can talk to slaves and other master devices.  Do you get what I'm saying?  The only way would be to
1) find a diagram for each screen
2) connect the screens to mirror each other
3) write your own software for your camera to tell it how to use the PSP screen
It's harder than it sounds and you risk breaking your camera.  Unless you don't value your camera and PSP much, DON'T DO IT!

Thanks for clearing that up for me. just looking at the price of external monitors for cameras and thought i had a good idea. thanks for a quick response. i guess i should use my psp for gaming and start saving up for a monitor
