Problem with my controller
« on: June 23, 2011, 12:45:43 PM »
Sup guys!!!

Well my controller has started to do something rare. Its like you are using the analg sticks. The other buttons works well. But I think its better you see it, here is a vid:

In the vid you see I start to shoot but really I dont press RT. I have to say also I have removed both analog stick and the LT and the controller makes the same

What do you think??

Removing the sticks and trigger will make things worse. Thier function is to hold the analog voltage constant by the potentiometer. Removing the components means the voltage will 'float'. It could drift one way or the other, or be all over the place.

But before I remove them it happened the same. It could be possible one of the sticks was bad and cause the fail and replacing it or both now works fine??

Thanks in advance

Maybe. Its a strange problem. If you have spare parts I would try it, but I wouldnt go out and buy new parts expecting it to fix the problem. I would put an Oscope on the analogs first to see if the voltages were OK first, but you might not have that option.

You should try removing one of the analog sticks from one of your other controllers (assuming you have another one) and put it into the that one. If it works fine then you need to order some replacement sticks off ebay.
