how to play computer games on ps3?

ok i see how it woks for the psp but can it work on the ps3 it has more memory and it has better graphics card etc. im not talking about high graphic games.. i mean like old pc games can they be runed through the cd drive ori n any way  ....

There is a pc emulator for the PS3. I have not used it personally but I know it works.

no they cannot be run on the ps3 unless you still have linux on your ps3 then you could play pc games on the ps3

plus the emu will not work for all game pete it only play 3% of them and not at full frames  they have only just got the wii one working better so dont think they will get a ps3 one working great anytime soon

Not necessarily true, If you have a Ps3 still with 3.56 or 3.55 or below I can't remember :/ You can use the good old jailbreak and you can upload linux and through linux you can even run XP! I have been trying to do this I just have to get the damn blu-ray drive working

still stating you need linux mate i know how its done due to i use to play them like that before they took it away and i was using my ps3 as a pc on linux till this one im on now was fixed up.

The original poster just wanted to play old cd rom based games. This will work. Also they have another emulator that runs dos games and other older cd rom based games.

well unless he has a jb ps3 there's no way no matter what anyone says

op if you have a jb ps3 then google the software up you'll find it on first search easy with how to do it and play the pc emu on the ps3.

if not jb you'll need one to play what you want.
