[MOD] PSP 3000 RGB
« on: January 02, 2012, 07:29:27 PM »
Sup all! Just bringing another PSP mod :D Like always!

Here we have a PSP 3000. This one is nothing special, so I'm just gonna let the pictures speak for themselves.

So I walk into play n trade a couple days after christmas with my cash.... Had just blown it all on PS3 games (KZ3, BF3, Controllers, etc).  I only had 87 dollars.  I tell the store owner I want a PSP, but I don't have enough money, and asked if I could trade in some stuff.  He asked me how much I had, and told me it was enough!!! The PSP was going for 125, and I got it for exactly 87 dollars.  There really are some kind people in this world.  I go home, turn it on and IT'S ON 5.03 firmware.  All in all, I had a great day that day.

Here's what this bad boy looks like before:

No kidding.  Thats awesome.  I never tried to use an RGB LED before, but after seeing THAT, I think I need to rethink what I do with LED's!  :-D

Thanks arkman!!! WAIT til I put the video. You'll see how awesome it really is. You have to dremel a lot to get those bad boys to fit, but they work out pretty good ;)

nice work neo!
imo its unfortunate its such a bright green, but thats just me.
i like the umd door mod, the umd door is like a big canvas to do whatever you want with, love the blue LEDs you put in there.

what kind of wire is that though? looks like copper like in headphones cords but im not sure..
My systems:  -PSP 2001, CFW and PSP 3000 shell.  -PSP 1001, LED mods, custom firmware, speaker mods, sound reactive LEDs.  -Black NDSL, LED mod, 0.5x and 2x speed mod.

that looks real sweet. So how do you change between all those colors since the wifi switch can only control color if I'm right

I wanna try this on my PSP too.

Thanks!

The bright green color of the led? It's not that bright in real person. Well I mean.... It IS bright, but not as bright as it appears. The camera adds alot because its not focused on the light.  And yeah, the UMD door is pretty sweet :)

Magnet wire!!!!! It's some of the best if you know how to use it right. Crack open a DSL filter, you can buy em for dirt cheap. 4 Rolls of it in there. Perfect for my work.

The LED has a chip built in so it fades by itself. If you wanted to change colors, you could hook it up to say the sound button with a PIC and rgb leds. This is just an auto fade rgb leds, much easier
