Xbox slim and mod chips?

I have for a long time considered getting a xbox 360, though I have yet to find if you can mod it with the new slim versions. I have not seen any flashing that is foolproof or any mod chips. Whats the status of the slim versions and modding to run backups or homebrew code?

On the trinity board you can do what is called a RGH (Reset Glitch Hack) using a few different types of chips the cool runner chip is the best... as of August 17,2011 they came out with a new board and isnt hackacble.

i am going to try and make a tutorial for the RGH.. been having  some issues but slowly figuring them out  . every computer slightly different and windows systems that i been trying.

Edit: you should be able to flash the drive now I beilieve it is the 9375 or 9735 i dont remember which i will find out which dvd drive is capable of being flashed , should be able to flash it with LT3.0

Thank you for the information. Sounds a bit risky to get one these days since I need to get one that is made before August 17 2011 then.
